A Note From Our Principal
Welcome to the Van Meter Elementary School web site!
Van Meter is a school of 655 students in 30 classrooms grades K-5. Van Meter was built in 1949. A remodernization in 2002-2003 added a new kindergarten complex, library, multipurpose room and 3 additional classrooms. During the 11-12 school year a new two story/10 classroom building was added along with a new and enlarged day care facility. In the past, Van Meter has been designated a California Distinguished School.
