A Note From Our Principal
Welcome to the Van Meter Elementary School web site!
Van Meter is a school of 637 students in 27 classrooms grades K-5. Van Meter was built in 1949 and completely remodeled in the 2002-2003 school year thanks to a building bond passed by the Los Gatos community. In addition to modernization, a new kindergarten complex, new library and multipurpose room, and 3 new classrooms were added. We are currently under construction with a new two story, 10 classsroom building due to open in the coming school year. In the past, Van Meter School has been designated a California Distinguished School.
